Overview
Experience a horseback ride at Hostería Agua Fresca, located at kilometer 27 south of Punta Arenas, a place deeply connected to Patagonian traditions where a local family keeps the culture of horses, horseback riding, and rodeos alive.
The route runs along the Strait of Magellan, crossing a wetland that usually hosts various bird species from the area. During the ride, you will be able to appreciate an abundant forest of lenga trees, calafate, and maritime armeria, as well as observe wildlife such as quetru, juarjual, caiquenes, native birds, foxes, and rabbits.
The path continues through a wooded trail until reaching a natural viewpoint of the Strait of Magellan, from where it is possible to contemplate the islands of Tierra del Fuego and Dawson, along with the vastness of the sea and the snow-capped mountains of the Darwin Range.
At the end of the ride, you will enjoy a homemade snack prepared by the owners of the place, who also take care of providing attention during the experience.
