Overview
The Vía Ferrata Pucón climbing is a unique adventure tourism experience, ideal for sports and nature lovers. Located in the charming volcanic valley of El Cerdúo and built by local guides, this activity offers a combination of trekking and climbing, with breathtaking views of the Villarrica Volcano and its surroundings.
Itinerary
We venture by vehicle into the heart of the El Cerdúo volcanic valley, located on the slopes of the imposing Villarrica Volcano. The adventure begins with a hike through a steep forest, followed by a climb over large rocks that prepare us for the main challenge. These initial stretches are just a taste of what's to come, warming up our muscles and awakening our adventurous spirit.
Next, we start the climbing section with a series of metal steps embedded in the rock, facilitating the ascent of 300 meters amidst spectacular landscapes and a forest of lenga trees. This ascent culminates at the ridge that rises above the valley, offering us impressive views of the volcanic surroundings. The combination of climbing and panoramic views makes each step upwards a rewarding and visually stunning experience.
Safety is paramount throughout the journey. We use specialized equipment including a helmet, harness, and a double safety strap with automatic carabiners that hook onto the lifeline, represented by a steel cable that extends along the entire Via Ferrata route. This activity is perfect for those with an average physical condition and a great motivation to face the challenge of being at altitude, ensuring that each participant feels comfortable and confident during the climb.
Finally, the descent is done by walking on the other side of the mountain, crossing a dense and humid forest, crossing streams, and enjoying the birdsong. This final stage allows us to relax and reflect on the exciting adventure we have experienced, connecting with nature in all its splendor.
