Overview
Live an experience of kayaking in the Beagle Channel from Puerto Williams, one of the most popular activities in the area and an excellent way to explore this southern environment from the water. The excursion has an approximate duration of 4 hours, including transportation to and from your accommodation, allowing for a complete and well-organized experience.
The activity begins at our base camp "Buspackers", where you will receive a safety briefing and all the necessary equipment, including wetsuit, gloves, booties, raincoat, and life jacket. From there, we will start navigating in a calm area to familiarize ourselves with sea kayaking, progressively moving from the Lauta inlet towards the Bay of Puerto Williams, passing by the Micalvi Yacht Club.
During the journey, paddling will be our means of transportation while we observe birds and discover remnants of the Yagán people, ancient canoe nomads who inhabited these waters, as well as elements of local history. At the end of the navigation, the experience includes a picnic and a toast with craft beer from Navarino Island.
Groups are small, with a maximum of 6 people, allowing for a closer and more personalized experience. It includes guidance in Spanish and/or English as required, complete kayaking equipment, picnic, and local beer. No prior experience or swimming skills are required. Departure time: 3:00 PM.
