Overview
The sighting of pumas in Torres del Paine is one of the most fascinating wildlife experiences in Chilean Patagonia. The puma, the largest feline in the region, inhabits Torres del Paine National Park and, although observing them is not easy, participating in a specialized tour significantly increases the chances of finding them in their natural habitat.
The eastern area of the park, less visited by tourists, is the ideal sector for spotting pumas in the wild. These tours are conducted with expert guides and specialized trackers, who have a deep understanding of the animal's behavior and the areas where they usually roam, allowing for a safe, responsible, and respectful observation of the environment.

Itinerary
Our day will start between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. from our camp located in the area of the Serrano River, an ideal moment to spot the elusive puma in its natural habitat. With the support of our specialized vehicle, we will explore different strategic sectors of the park to maximize sighting and photography opportunities. When we locate the puma, we will carry out brief photographic sessions, always respecting its daily routine and maintaining a safety distance recommended by our expert guides.
At noon, we will enjoy a delicious lunch (box lunch) at a panoramic point in the park, carefully chosen by our guides. In addition to spotting the puma, we will look for other species of the abundant local fauna, including guanacos, ñandús, gray and red foxes, skunks, condors, Chilean flamingos, and various wild birds. We will continue exploring emblematic areas of the park such as Laguna Azul and Laguna Amarga, where you can enjoy impressive views of the mountains and unique landscapes of southern Patagonia.
At sunset, taking advantage of the best light for photography, we will make a last attempt to observe and photograph the puma. After this exciting day of adventure and contact with nature, we will comfortably return to Puerto Natales.

The Torres del Paine National Park has the highest concentration of Pumas in the world. That being said, the possibility of sighting Pumas will be subject to various factors that change day by day (Time of year, time of day, weather conditions, movement of guanacos (main prey of the Puma)). To increase the chances of sighting, we follow the instructions of our expert guides, who will indicate the optimal hours and places to achieve the desired experience.
Although Pumas can be seen throughout the year, the best seasons are autumn and winter. During low light hours.
